THE STORY OF OFYR
From the very beginning, we humans have been social creatures. Our ancestors sat around the fire, cooking and telling stories. Today, there are countless ways to communicate: we commonly carry devices that allow us to write to or speak with people anywhere in the world. But when do we truly feel connected to each other? It usually happens in relation to food, drink, and fire. OFYR is designed for these moments of connection.
The creation of OFYR was driven by the founder’s desire to transform outdoor cooking from a solitary activity into one that involves multiple people. The concept was first introduced in the Netherlands in 2015, and it is now sold in over 80 countries. With the support of a team of designers, the founder expanded the range to include outdoor furniture, cookware, and high-quality accessories, making OFYR not just a product, but a complete outdoor concept.
WHY OFYR?
OFYR is a combination of unique simplicity, multifunctionality, and beautiful design, which together create an entirely new way of outdoor cooking and entertainment. The multifunctionality of OFYR is reflected in the wide variety of recipes you can prepare. In Spain, OFYR is used to make a large pan of excellent paella. In Switzerland, after a full day of skiing, people gather around for a glass of glühwein, or mulled wine. OFYR is perfect for any occasion and brings people together around the fire, no matter the season.
ADVANTAGES OF OFYR
SIMPLICITY
OFYR is composed of three parts that fit together securely – the base and fire pit are made from 3mm sheet steel, and the steel plate consists of a 12mm oval steel surface. The ash is removed from the top using a scoop, so the classic OFYR models have no movable or removable parts. In other words, nothing can be damaged or lost.
LONG LIFESPAN
Thanks to the surface treatment of the base and fire pit, OFYR can be left outside all year round without worry. The steel parts are treated as corten – industrially rusted steel that no longer rusts further. This same material is used for maintenance-free facades of buildings. The plate is made from regular steel, with a surface treatment created by a layer of oil that forms during cooking. The fire pit has a small (approximately 1.5 cm) hole that allows rainwater to flow through the base to the ground.
EASY MAINTENANCE
Cleaning the OFYR is probably as easy as you can imagine. As mentioned, the ash is taken care of, and the plate is cleaned during cooking – using a spatula, either a regular one or the original OFYR SPATULA. Forget about cleaning grates or using chemicals. After cooking, simply wash the dishes, remove the ash before the next cooking session, light the fire, and once the OFYR heats up, scrape the plate. That’s all.

The classic original OFYR fits everywhere. Designed as a sculpture, it enhances the central part of the garden. This unique fire pit comes with a steel cooking plate. The plate heats up with the fire, allowing you to cook directly on it. The entire fire pit radiates heat, making it useful throughout the season. It offers an exceptionally social way of outdoor cooking and grilling. It is available in both corten steel and black finishes.

The stylish OFYR Leather Apron, crafted from premium leather with a riveted logo detail and an adjustable strap, offers excellent heat protection and develops a beautiful patina with use.
OFYR Gloves
These practical suede gloves are a must-have for any ambitious chef. They can withstand temperatures up to 350°C and protect your hands when moving the OFYR fire pit or handling hot cookware. For safety reasons, it is still necessary to wait for the fire pit to cool down before moving it.
OFYR Buffadoo Set
The Buffadoo set includes a beautifully shaped bellows and sturdy steel tongs with a stand in the same design. Using the bellows with a leather handle and silicone nozzle, you can intensify the flames in the OFYR grill and minimize smoke after ignition. The nozzle also protects you from inhaling hot air.
